Liberty Society is a social enterprise located in Serpong. We specialize in eco-friendly and impactful B2B merchandise and hampers, with a focus on empowering marginalized women. Through our training to employment model, we aim to increase the income and overall livelihood of refugee and disadvantaged communities. We work with renowned brands and corporates to create transformative impact through sustainable goods and gifts, upcycling services, and green campaign activations.

Role Description

This is an internship role at Liberty Society. The role supports Sustainability Associate to implement and promote sustainable practices across the company, along with the communication. The role will work collaboratively with other departments. The Sustainability Intern will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day tasks related to integrating sustainability to all team divisions, that includes manufacturing, sourcing, and upcycling processes. This is a hybrid role, based in Serpong with flexibility for some remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • research and analyse baseline sustainability work
  • conduct research on sustainability best practices, trends, and technologies that align with LS business model;
  • research and find new potential partners to support company sustainability journey
  • monitor sustainability practices in the company
  • Project support
  • Help coordinate events, workshops, and training sessions on sustainability to promote awareness, partnership, and collaboration
  • Help vendor management to align with ESG metrics
  • Assist communication efforts related to the company’s ESG metrics and goals
  • Prepare ESG report for annual reporting

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and principles
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with social media management and content creation
  • Interest in social impact and empowerment
  • Currently enrolled in/recent graduate of a degree program in Environmental studies, Sustainability, Business, or other related field.
