The National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre is the steward of the City of Good vision for Singapore, where individuals, organisations, and leaders come together to give their best for others.
Job Description
As we journey towards realising the vision of Singapore as the City of Good, NVPC is offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that supports the work of non-profits to create a positive impact on society. The candidate should share the belief that together is better and that non-profits can be empowered to give their best towards a more compassionate, inclusive and caring society.
It has become clearer to us at NVPC that the success of an intervention in the social impact space depends on the interior condition of the intervenor. By interior condition we mean the inner place from which we as intervenors in this space operate. Given the complex challenges we face in the 21st century, we cannot expect to resolve the problems we face using the same level of consciousness that created them. This certainly applies in the context of leadership in our sector, and the key challenge as we move forward is to develop the leadership capacity that will help us address systemic, complex and multi-dimensional challenges. To advance this area of work, we will need a candidate with the above sensibilities who can explore and engage at the systems-level and contribute to the nurturing of leadership capability for social change.
