We are looking for an Agronomist who will lead farming operations. The Agronomist (Head of Farming Operations) will help us develop more sustainable farming practices.

Responsibilities

Provide assessment and suggestions on crop management
Research, test, and implement solutions for high quality and improved production
Continuously conduct farm visits to improve planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques
Perform quality control for seeds, soil, and irrigation standards
Conduct training to relevant stakeholders including farmers and local leaders
Ensure timelines and budget are met
Data Analysis and Report Generation
Be up to date with industry trends and developments

Qualifications

At least 7 years of relevant expertise in farming operations and agronomy
In-depth knowledge of soil, irrigation, and crop principles
With proven track record of successful ownership of an Agri project/program
Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Agribusiness or any related field
Excellent listening and communication skills; relating to various stakeholders
Comfortable working with data
Firm decision making, problem solving, research, and critical thinking skills
Willing to be based in the Philippines
