The Role
Oxfam in Indonesia is looking for Consultant Strengthening Action Plan of Sustainable Palm Oil in North Konawe to Achieve SDGs to strengthen CSOs and palm oil farmer organizations to continue further engagement with governments and private sectors through mutual partnership in driving more inclusive and responsible value chain through capacity building and multistakeholder platform. It is expected that the role of smallholder organizations/cooperatives, women groups, civil society organizations (CSOs) and local communities would play significant roles in driving sustainable palm oil that integrates gender equality and social responsibility into joint agenda.
Objective
- To strengthen more inclusive organisational development of palm oil smallholders that benefit for men and women smallholders and local communities.
- To build partnership between palm oil smallholder organization with government and private sectors in North Konawe.
- To actively engage with the implementation team of regional action plan in driving inclusive and sustainable palm Oil in North Konawe.
Output
The expected outputs of the consultancy are:
- Strengthened capacities and meaningful participation of men and women palm oil smallholders with gender-inclusive perspective and sustainability practice through development of cooperatives in North Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi.
- Establishment of partnership between smallholder organization/cooperatives and governments and private sectors in driving sustainable palm oil in North Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi.
- Strengthened multistakeholder engagement in the acceleration of regional action Plan sustainable palm oil, which put social responsibility and gender aspects into consideration.
