Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a proactive Programme Assistant to join our SPIRAL Programme Department. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in project management or finance, possess excellent interpersonal and strong writing skills, and demonstrate a systematic and detail-oriented approach to their work. Passion for making a social impact is essential.

As a Programme Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include project management, managing contracts, financial resources, and coordinating with various teams to ensure the successful execution and reporting of activities and expenses. An interest in natural farming, enjoyment of working with people, and a love for the outdoors and nature will be a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing contracts, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables.
  • Handle financial resources effectively, including budget tracking and expense management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project activities and report on progress.
  • Support in the planning and execution of study tours and events, ensuring smooth logistics and participant satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development of project plans and strategies, aligning with organizational objectives.
  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, expenses, and communications.
  • Proactively identify and address any potential issues or challenges that may arise during project implementation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of project management processes.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, providing insights and suggestions for continuous improvement.
Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Accounting, Environmental Studies, International Development) preferred.
  • Previous experience in project management, finance, or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
  • Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges in a dynamic work environment.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; additional language skills are a plus.
